Kids spend time outside at school for recess and field trips. Sun protection should not be forgotten during the school day as these outside activities generally occur during 10am to 4pm when the sun’s rays are strongest. Sunscreen is not always permitted at school without a doctor’s note and of course it needs to be applied prior to going outside. This makes UPF clothing and accessories an easy choice for school. Hats and sun sleeves are easy for kids to put on before leaving the classroom. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, everyday exposure to the sun counts.
